Chinese shares open flat on Monday

BEIJING, Dec. 22 (Chinese media) -- Chinese shares opened flat on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, easing 0.1 percent, or 2.01 points, to 2,016.45 at the opening.

The smaller Shenzhen index was down 0.13 percent, or 9.37 points, to open at 7,429.46 points.
