Stocks close lower in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil

MEXICO CITY, Dec. 22 (Chinese media) -- Latin America's three major stock markets ended lower on Monday.



Mexico City's IPC stock index dropped 0.73 percent to 22,059.18points. A total of 125 million shares were traded with a value of about 191 million U.S. dollars.

At the Buenos Aires stock market, the Merval index closed at 1,045.56 points, down 4.59 percent. The trade volume was 8.436 million dollars.

In Sao Paulo, Latin America's biggest bourse, the leading Bovespa index closed at 37,618 points, down 3.87 percent. The trade volume was 1.052 billion dollars.
