Stocks close higher in Argentina, lower in Mexico, Brazil

MEXICO CITY, Dec. 15 (Chinese media) -- Latin America's three major stock markets ended mixed on Monday.

Mexico City's IPC stock index dropped 1.67 percent to 21,050.55points. A total of 222 million shares were traded with a value of about 327 million U.S. dollars.

At the Buenos Aires stock market, the Merval index closed at 1,115.04 points, up 1.53 percent. The trade volume was 13.800 million dollars.

In Sao Paulo, Latin America's biggest bourse, the leading Bovespa index closed at 38,320 points, down 2.68 percent. The trade volume was 2.160 billion dollars.
