Stocks close higher in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil

MEXICO CITY, Dec. 30 (Chinese media) -- Latin America's three major stock markets ended higher on Tuesday.

Mexico City's IPC stock index rose 0.12 percent to 22,420.01 points. A total of 110.2 million shares were traded with a value of about 167.5 million U.S. dollars.

At the Buenos Aires stock market, the Merval index closed at 1,079.66 points, up 0.30 percent. The trade volume was 5.950 million dollars.

In Sao Paulo, Latin America's biggest bourse, the leading Bovespa index closed at 37,550 points, up 1.32 percent. The trade volume was 1.114 billion dollars.
