Tokyo stocks open sharply higher

TOKYO, March 13 (Chinese media) -- Tokyo stocks opened higher Friday on a Wall

Street rebound the previous day.



In the first 15 minutes of trading, the benchmark 225-issue Nikkei Stock

Average gained 235.29 points, or 3.27 percent, from Thursday to 7,433.54.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock

Exchange was up 16.72 points, or 2.39 percent, to 717.65. The Second Section

also advanced.
