Chinese shares open higher on opening of annual parliament session

BEIJING, March 5 (Chinese media) -- Chinese shares opened higher on Thursday, with

the market expecting further stimulus measures from the on-going annual meeting

of the country's parliament, the National People's Congress.



The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was up 1.0 percent to 2220.15 points

and the smaller Shenzhen index rose 1.38 percent to open at 8341.53 points.
