Chinese shares prices up 2.66% at midday

BEIJING, March 4 (Chinese media) -- Chinese equities ended Wednesday's morning session 2.66 percent higher on a rally.

The Shanghai A-share index rose 55.12 points, or 2.66 percent, to close at 2,126.55, while the Shenzhen Component Index added 332.70 points, or 4.32 percent, to 8,028.32.

Combined turnover was 83.7 billion yuan (12.25 billion U.S. dollars).
