MANAGUA, March 5 (Chinese media) -- Germany will give some 30 million U.S. dollars
to Nicaragua for the 2009 development projects mainly in the areas of drinking
water and environment.
German Ambassador to Nicaragua Betina Kern told reporters on Thursday that
her country will continue aiding Nicaragua as it has done.
Kern made the remarks in the Nicaraguan Foreign Ministry after signing an
agreement of 1.5 million dollars to help finish a rehabilitation project of
technical education centers.
Kern said that recently the two nations and delegates from international
organizations inaugurated a water treatment plan.
The plant cost 85 million dollars while Germany donated 36 million dollars.
