ICD offers Indonesia $50 mln to develop SMEs

JAKARTA, March 3 (Chinese media) -- The Islamic Corporation for Development of the

Private Sector (ICD) has offered 50 million U.S. dollars funds to Indonesia for

developing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), a local media said here

Tuesday



General Manager of the ICD Al-Aboodi was quoted by Detik.com as saying that

Indonesia was an important market for the ICD.

"Indonesia is one of the essential markets as its government initiative to

boost infrastructure development under the Islamic economic system is very

good," he said at the sideline of the Fifth World Islamic Economic Forum here in

Jakarta.

Indonesia has struggled to boost domestic market by increasing economic

activity in small and medium business sector.
