TOKYO, March 6 (Chinese media) -- Tokyo stocks opened
sharply lower Friday with the key Nikkei index diving 2.98 percent.
At 9:15 a.m., the benchmark Nikkei 225 Average
plunged 221.47 points to 7,212.02.
The broader Topix index dropped 19.56 points, or 2.64
percent, to 721.99.
The Second Section also declined.
