Dollar down to upper 88 yen in Tokyo

TOKYO, Feb. 4 (Chinese media) -- The U.S. dollar went down to the upper 88 yen level Wednesday in Tokyo.

The dollar bought 88.87-89 yen at 5 p.m., down from 89.38-48 yen in New York and 89.72-74 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The euro was quoted at 1.2981-2983 dollars and 115.36-40 yen, against 1.3035-3045 dollars and 116.46-56 yen in New York and 1.2868-2870 dollars and 115.45-49 yen in Tokyo late Tuesday.
