KUALA LUMPUR, Feb. 2 (Chinese media) -- Dutch Lady Milk Industries Berhad (Dutch Lady Malaysia) is expected to lower the prices of its selected products in Malaysia to help consumers to cope with the current economic crisis.
To that end, the Dutch Lady will launch a two-month price reduction campaign, in which the retail prices of its dairy products might be reduced by six to 13 percent, a source close to the company said here on Monday.
The company also planned to flatter customers with attractive prizes, and etc., according to the source.
The milk product maker is expected to announce the details of the reduction later this week.
Malaysia targets over 1 bln liters milk production annually
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb. 2 (Chinese media) -- Malaysia aims to raise the milk production under the feedlot concept to 1.1 billion liters yearly to reduce its import dependency, Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry Minister Mustapa Mohamed said in Pasir Puteh, northern Kelantan state on Monday.
The country currently produced 51 million liters of milk yearly or 4.6 percent of the national consumption, Mustapa said after visiting the Sungai Durian Feedlot Husbandry project. Full story
